Regarding this post, I was wondering if anyone is taking any _meta_bolism boosting supplements... i.e. Ma Huang, Dextrine, etc.  I have heard mixed reviews on both... wondering if anyone has any personal experiences.

Well, I replied to another post about this and I think people were less than enthusiastic so I'm kinda scared to answer your question! lol However, I'll be brave. I am taking _meta_bolift from GNC, the minimum doseage per day, and I feel great!  It has cut my appetite like crazy and I have more energy although I am not jittery.  I have had no ill effects although it's only been a few days. I used to take Thermadrine and that made me nuts - it was like being on an extreme caffeine high.  I wouldn't take that again.   I just started WW yesterday and the _meta_bolift last Friday.  I'll let you know next Tuesday how the week went. That's just my two cents - I am *sure* you'll hear plenty of posts on the negative side  now but I just don't have anything bad to say about it at this point.  YMMV :o) Karen http://www.geocities.com/MyHope1297/index.html

I use to post in here several months ago under a different e-mail address.  I have quit going to weight watchers and am doing it own my own with the help of Cory Everson's Fitness for Women.  I have started doing strength training 2 times a week from 45 min to an hour.  I have the help of a trainer ( no extra cost ) which I think I need for the discipline.  I do about 45 min of cardio./5 times a week.  Actually this is my first real week to do this, last Monday I joined and they basically take you around the place and didn't get finished so I went back for the rest Tuesday and just started last Wednesday.  I love it!! I am paying less to do this than going to WW.  it's just $5 dollars less but I think it will do me more good than paying to go to WW.  I think I will get more done.  I am very excited about this.  I don't work, haven't in 4 years stay at home mom, and i needed some adult surroundings.  My husband thinks that I won't go after a couple of months but I am one who likes to exercise, I just got tired of walking at the park and pushing a stroller, they have free child care also. It is great for the money. $39/month.   This isn't really on topic but kinda is,  I just wanted to say that I am doing strength training now to tone up my bod for the summer.  Marsha
